🎓 Sometimes Being a Good Neighbor Means Showing Up

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to step away from the T-shirts for a little while and spend time with some of our neighbors!

I volunteered at Pathways Early Career Academy, right here in our San Mateo plaza, helping conduct mock interviews with their seniors as they prepare for life after high school.

We talked about introductions, interview questions, communicating with confidence, sharing real examples of their experiences—and, hopefully, helped make that first real job interview feel a little less intimidating.

One of the things I love about owning a small business in Albuquerque is that we’re not just located in a community. We get to be part of it.

These students are getting ready to take some big next steps, and I was grateful to spend a little time encouraging them along the way.

Thank you to Pathways Early Career Academy for inviting local business professionals to participate—and to the students for showing up, being curious, and practicing something that isn’t always easy. 💚🐸

    Tam went above and beyond for me, to make sure my Father’s Day gift would be done in time. When she was worried the color of shirt I ordered would not arrive in time, she called me and had me come into the store to pick a new (and better) color and she printed it right there for me. She also took a grainy photo I had and made a much better design for the shirt with her design program. I would never have thought about doing what she did, and it turned out so great!
