As a locally owned and operated small business, Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Murfreesboro felt the impact of the pandemic. Through the continued support of Murfreesboro and many neighboring communities in Tennessee, Big Frog not only survived but managed to thrive through these challenging times. As its way of giving back, Big Frog of Murfreesboro launches its “Shop Local All the Way” initiative, which aims to rally support for other small businesses in the community and help bring awareness of their products and services.

NOMINATE A SMALL BUSINESS

Launched in October 2021, the 6-month long “Shop Local All the Way” initiative empowers the community to nominate their favorite small business for a chance to win amazing prizes that will help them brand and market their business. Prizes range from a $100 Direct-to-Garment Printing voucher for branded t-shirt printing to marketing spotlight opportunities on Big Frog’s social media channels.

“As a small and locally-operated business ourselves, we understand the challenges local businesses face to run a successful business. This is the reason why it’s important to us to support fellow entrepreneurs, provide them the platform to share their brand story, and give our community a reason to rally behind local businesses,” said Kathy Gannon, owner of Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Murfreesboro.

SHOP LOCAL ALL THE WAY INTERVIEW

One concrete way Big Frog of Murfreesboro supports small business owners in Tennessee is through the “Shop Local All the Way” interview, which streams on Big Frog’s social channels and spotlights local businesses. Along with Kathy, State Farm Insurance Agent Cody Bailey was a featured guest.

Cody, who opened his insurance business in 2019, said operating a successful business is about “being engaged in your community and being the change that you want to see.”

“There are so many opportunities, especially in a local community, to be involved, and I love giving back to this community,” said Cody.
