Designing your custom t-shirt
can be a challenge especially since you can use unlimited
colors and details for your custom t-shirt. Direct to garment printing uses
CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) garment dye
cartridges. The printer automatically prints the color
that matches your image so you can use as many colors as you
want, up to 100 million. The sky is the limit and the
number of colors you can use is virtually limitless.
We can print just about anywhere on an
t-shirt, sleeves, color, around the side, vertically,
horizontally, on the inside, and more. Try to think
outside the box in creating your own unique t-shirt design.
But, if you get stumped, remember not to get frustrated and
just send us an e-mail and in no time, you'll have a first
draft to inspire your creativity. The maximum image
size is 14" x 14", so that's our only limit for your
design.
Soon we'll have the ability to
allow you to design your shirt on-line. However, for
now, you can use Word, PowerPoint, Publisher or any other
software program on your personal computer and come up with
a basic idea. For clip art, you can visit
www.ClipArt.com where you can choose from
millions of interesting photos and clip art. Bay Area
Custom T-Shirts has a subscription to this site so just
write down the item number you want and we can download it
for you.
To send us a graphic's file, it is
best to send it at 300 dpi resolution in a .bmp, .jpg, .cdr,
.eps, .pdf or Photoshop file. We currently use
Corel Draw and Adobe Photoshop exclusively in our stores.
If you need to export your file to a jpg, have it convert
the colors to RGB for best printing. If you are
e-mailing your design, please make sure it is under 6mB to
get through our e-mail servers.
But, don't get frustrated, send
us an e-mail with your basic idea and we'll put together a
design for you. You can then have us modify it until
you like it. There's no charge for this and you can
have lots of stress-free fun designing your own shirt. |
